Tennessee ESA & EFS
Dolphin STEM Academy is an approved school for Tennessee Education Freedom Scholarship (EFS) and Education Savings Account (ESA) funding. Families who qualify can use ESA or EFS funds to enroll their child at DSA and receive high-quality online education with structured teacher support and meaningful peer interaction.
Tennessee Education Freedom Scholarship (EFS)
The EFS program provides families with a scholarship of approximately $7,000 per student each year, which can be used toward tuition and other educational expenses at participating private schools. Tennessee residents in grades K-12 who are entitled to attend a public school are eligible to apply. EFS applications for the 2026-27 school year opened January 13, 2026, and closed February 6, 2026. Renewal applications for current recipients opened December 9, 2025.

Tennessee Education Savings Account (ESA)
The ESA program provides eligible students with state funds that families can use for private school tuition and other approved education expenses, offering greater flexibility than traditional scholarships. To qualify, students must be Tennessee residents who are zoned to attend one of the qualifying public school districts (such as Memphis-Shelby, Metro Nashville, Hamilton County, or a designated Achievement School District) and meet certain income and enrollment criteria. The 2026-27 ESA application opened on February 3, 2026, and the submission deadline is March 16, 2026. Find more details and apply here:
