Shark Week Day 1: General Facts about Sharks

What do you really know about sharks?

It’s helpful to know “the basics” about any creature. In this video, we will cover shark senses and the general categorization of sharks.

Ready to try some activities at home? Here’s a great way to get your STEM juices flowing and making your learning visible:

*Engage in a discussion comparing and contrasting shark senses and human senses.

*Review taxonomy diagrams to learn the full categorization of sharks and determine what else is part of the cartilaginous fish group.

*For a general overview of taxonomy, included below is a taxonomy diagram explained, with Homo sapiens (humans) used as the example.
