What do you really know about sharks?

Sharks are amazing albeit elusive creatures. They are feared by many people due to the lack of knowledge and misunderstanding about sharks. In this video, we discuss why sharks matter, clear up some misinformation, and share ways to stay safe while swimming in the ocean. 

Ready to try some activities at home? Here’s a great way to get your STEM juices flowing and making your learning visible: 1) Checkout a book about sharks from the library, or do a bit of shark research online. What is one thing you learned from the book? What was something that helped you understand sharks better? Create a venn diagram and list similarities between sharks and other ocean creatures.
