Shark Week Day 4: Megaladons

What do you really know about sharks?

The Megaladon is the giant extinct shark that peaks curiosity. With only teeth and vertebrae fossils left, limited information is available about Megalodons. The evidence that we have is extrapolated from comparing what has been found to what we know about today’s shark species. This video reviewes what is known about Megalodons and why this information may change.

Ready to try some activities at home? Here’s a great way to get your STEM juices flowing and making your learning visible: Choose another extinct organism and learn about it. What have scientists learned from direct studies and what have they concluded from studying similar species?
